Obituary for Thomas Eugene Hawley

Thomas Eugene Hawley-age 59, passed away on Wednesday, October 26 at his home in Lake. Thomas was born on September 22, 1957 in Pontiac Michigan to parents James and Ruth (Yontz) Hawley. Tom served proudly with the United States Navy from 1976 to 1980, where he was an Advanced Boiler Technician on the USS Trenton and earned a National Defense Service Medal. Tom married Tammy L. DeGeer in Farwell on June 9, 1984. He was employed with Morbark and was a member of the Lake Rod & Gun Club. He loved restoring cars, hunting and fishing, and adored his grand-daughter Maci. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Tammy, his son Thomas Eugene Hawley II and Myranda Pitman of Lake, brothers Bob Stump and wife Annette of IN, Amos and wife Bev, John Stump and wife Terri, both of IN, Eddy Hawley Sr. and wife Valarie of Lake, David Hawley and wife Sharon of Saginaw, Brother-in-laws Raymond (Vicki) Pitt of Lake, Leon (Stephanie) DeGeer Jr. of Lake, sister-in-laws Jackie (Bryan)Shattuck of Lake, Liz (Bill) Miller of Lake, and numerous nieces & Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jim Hawley. Please consider memorial contributions to the family to be used for a college fund for Maci and future grandchildren.
