Robert (Bob) Mathew Dougherty 52 years old of Farwell, MI passed away on February 21, 2017 at Midland hospital
Bob was born on June 16, 1964 in Clare, Michigan to parents Clayton (Butch) and Linda (Stevens) Dougherty.
Bob graduated from Farwell High School in 1982, where he was involved in wrestling and football. After school he spent 2 years working at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. Bob loved hunting, fishing, sports and playing poker.
Bob was a long time member of the Farwell Labor Day Committee and was very active with the Figure Eight Derby and the fairgrounds sound system. He will be greatly missed. Bob was also very helpful in many of Farwell's community events. He was also a Hunters Safety instructor.
Bob is survived by His mother, Linda Dougherty; fiancé, Mary Harrison; sisters, Cheryl Uhrig and Lorraine Dougherty (fiancé Daniel Brown) all of Farwell, MI; Nieces: Melissa Dougherty, Jennifer Giles, Amber Sangle, Nichole Herron, Ariel Andrews, Tierra Herron; nephews: Parker Bagley, Jonathan Sangle, Nash Maida; a great niece Ryleigh Dougherty-Miller, and 2 step children Kayla and Gordon. He was preceded in death by his Father Clayton Dougherty; Maternal grandmother, Roberta Stevens; Paternal grandmother, Lucille Dougherty; and Paternal Grandfather, William Dougherty.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service is being planned for March 4th at 1:00 PM, at the Clare Christ Fellowship Church, 3260 E. Colonville Road in Clare. Please share your memories and condolences with Bob’s family online, at www.CampbellStocking.com
