Charles Raymond Kern - age 87 of Lake, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at his home. He was born on June 5, 1930 the son of Charles Wilbur and Dora Marie (Baumgartner) Kern in Perrysburg, Ohio. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Charles married Cleo Marie Hollar on February 12, 1954 in Toledo, Ohio. He enjoyed fishing and camping and worked as an electrode plater for a plating shop. Charles is survived by his wife of 63 years Cleo; a son, Richard Kern and wife Kathy of Lake; a daughter, Sharon Garner and husband Robert of Springville, TN; 5 grandchildren: Trina, Stephanie, Chad, Eric, and Steven Adams; 15 great grandchildren; a sister, Ollie Ramson of Louisville, KY.
