Randy Scott Laney- age 61 of Farwell, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018, at McLaren Central Michigan Hospital in Mt. Pleasant. Randy was born on December 6, 1956 to Dorothy Laney. He married Julie Ann Robison on May 20, 1995 in Farwell. Randy loved hunting, camping, and was a sports fan through and through. He loved supporting his favorite teams, U of M and the Detroit Tigers. Randy worked for the State of Michigan as a CNA at the VA Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Julie of Farwell, two sons: Logan Laney and wife Krista, and Jared Robison both of Farwell; two grandchildren: Cooper and Patrick Laney; two brothers: Bruce Hartley and wife Nancy of Ohio, Bill Hartley and wife Renee of Ohio; four sisters: Theresa Waite and husband Mark of Lake Orion, Judy Hartley, Sue Heiden, and Carrie Finkbeiner all of Ohio. He was preceded in death by two daughters: Patti and Lynette Laney; his mother Dorothy and step-father John Hartley A service is planned for Friday, January 12th, at 1PM at the Campbell-Stocking Funeral Home in Farwell. Pastor Charles Lyon will officiate. Friends may visit with Randy's family on Thursday, January 11th from 4-8PM at the funeral home. Randy will be laid to rest in the Gilmore Twp. Cemetery.
