Betty Maxene Adams- age 90 of Farwell passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 7, 2018. Betty was born on the family farm on February 15th, 1928 to parents Ray and Bertha E. (Sowle) Clark in Garfield Township. Following 2 years of college, Betty was wed to Harold Woodrow Adams on January 15, 1946 in Lake Michigan. Together they raised five children. Betty spent her life as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and retired from the Ardis Nursing Home, now known as North Woods Nursing Center. She loved to sew, knit, cross stitch and garden. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Farwell. She is survived by her children; Harold E. Adams and wife Kaye of Farwell, Robert L. Adams and wife Dori of Mt. Pleasant, Karl A. Adams of Lake, Jack E. Adams and wife Bonnie of Kenosha WI., Debbie K. Ackerman and husband James of Farwell, twenty grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, brother Chester C. Clark and wife Cindy of Cadillac, and sister Geraldine Clark of Barryton. She is preceded in death by her husband Harold on April 24th, 1982, her parents, and a brother Eugene Clark. A funeral service is planned for Wednesday, October 10th at 11AM at the Campbell-Stocking Funeral Home in Farwell. Pastor Paul Nestor will officiate and she will be laid to rest next to her husband Harold in Garfield Township Cemetery.
