Coty Joseph Smith – Age 20, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in Farwell, MI. He was born on March 31, 1998, the son of Trisha Lynn Smith and Kyle Ray Johnson in Clare MI. Coty graduated from Farwell High School. He loved fishing and hunting.
Coty is survived by his son, Cayson Joseph Smith; parents: Trisha Lynn Smith of Farwell, Kyle and wife Amanda Johnson of Howard City; maternal grandparents, Curtis and Ina Smith of Farwell; paternal grandparents: Steve and Judy Johnson of Weidman, Doreen Prestly of Howard City; paternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Starkey; 3 sisters: Katie Johnson, Karlee Johnson, Faith Mester; 5 brothers: Jakob Johnson, Keegan Johnson, Kolby Johnson, Tyler Loomis, Carsen Smith; maternal aunts: Shelley Smith and husband Thomas Stroebel of Sanford, Julie and husband Brian Farrell of Farwell; paternal aunt, Lesley and husband Gary Jones of Weidman; paternal uncles: Steve Johnson of Weidman, Brock and wife Ivie Withers of Grant, Randy Withers of Big Rapids; cousins, Kaylee Smith-Sanders, Brennan Farrell, Ashlan Farrell, Rian Smith-Sanders, Megan Farrell; numerous other relatives and friends.
A memorial service for Coty will be held at 3 PM on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Campbell Stocking Funeral Home and Cremation Center – Farwell. Rev. Scott Harper, Clare Assembly of God, will officiate. Family and friends are welcome to visit with the family from 11 AM to 3 PM on Thursday, prior to the service.
