We'd be watching scary movies and during the dramatic moments he would sneak into the room and pop a balloon for special effect or show up wielding a knife or a fishhook. There was no such thing as a dull moment at the Hathaway house. 	It wouldn&#39;t surprise anyone to hear that the momet I met Everett we were instant friends. I admired his outlook, his work ethic and his sense of humor, he was skilled at what he did and could laugh easily. He was always easy to talk to.</p>
<p>
	I went back and saw him sitting by his work bench and I&#39;d asked him:</p>
<p>
	&quot;How&#39;s it going?&quot;</p>
<p>
	He told me he&#39;d had nothing to do all day.</p>
<p>
	&quot;Did you get it all done?&quot;</p>
<p>
	&quot;Well, I don&#39;t know&quot;, he responded.</p>
<p>
	&quot;Do you still have nothing to do?&quot;</p>
<p>
	&quot;Yep&quot;.</p>
<p>
	&quot;Then you&#39;re not done yet&quot;.</p>
<p>
	He agreed. That was the type of humor we could share, you just walked into it and ran with it.</p>
<p>
	I enjoyed working with him, solving problems together; he had a wealth of experience and could always share. You always felt like you&#39;d gained something after spending time with him. I missed him when he left there and was happy to rejoin him via Facebook.</p>
