Alvin Zygmunt â€" age 83 of Harrison, died Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at his home. Alvin was born March 2, 1924 in Chicago, IL. He served in the Army and was a life member of VFW Post 3033 of Mt. Pleasant. He married Olive Irene Goodrich July 7, 1973 in Farwell. He retired from Dow Chemical in 1979, and loved to bowl, hunt and fish.
Alvin is survived by his wife Olive; a son, Michael Zygmunt of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter, Cathy of Louisiana; 3 grandchildren Debbie, Elizabeth, and Alvin; step-children, Vicky and husband Randy Mishler of Reed City, MI and Debra and husband Alan Martin of Farwell; 5 step grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Zygmunt and wife Sue of Florida; 2 sisters, Gloria Zygmunt of Mt. Pleasant, MI, and Mary and husband Bob Trussel of Warren, MI; sister-in-law, Betty Heintz of Harrison.
Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, John Zygmunt; 2 sisters, Florence Vorse and Eleanor Ayres; and step-son, Ona Blain (January 22, 2008). No services are scheduled at this time.
