Howard “Howdy” Selnor Lutz – age 101, of Lake, MI, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Tustin House AFC in Tustin, MI. He was born on June 11, 1915 the son of Ford and Nona (Stearns) Lutz in Alma, MI. Howard married Fern Beadle on July 2, 1938 in Lansing, MI. She preceded him in death on January 5, 1995. He worked as an electrician and was a member of Local 665 of the IBEW union. Howard had been part owner of Reed & Tyler Electric and Root Electric and worked part time for Lutz Electric after retirement. Howard enjoyed bowling and playing horseshoes. Surviving are two sons: Jerry Lutz and wife Brenda of Lake, MI and Gary Lutz and wife Lisa of Wyoming; nine grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren; a brother, Ernest Lutz of Mason, MI; and a sister, Betty Dravenstat of California. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Cremation has taken place per his request.
