Donald Lee “Cowboy” Irwin- age 68 of Farwell, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2009, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center-Clare. Services for Donald will be held on Monday, October 5, 2009 at 1PM at Campbell-Stocking Family Funeral Home in Farwell. Friends may visit on Sunday from 2-8 PM and on Monday from 11AM until the time of service.
“Cowboy” was born in Farwell on January 1, 1941, the son of Floyd and Ella June (Shilling) Irwin. He worked for General Motors and retired in 1992. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, and was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles-Clare Aire #3977.
He is survived by his father Floyd of Farwell, three sons, Darell Lee Irwin and David Lee Irwin, both of Farwell, Donald William Irwin and wife Brina of Niles; one daughter, Heidi Krueger and husband Jessie of Buchanan; four brothers, Gail Irwin and wife Carolyn of Mt. Morris, Lloyd Irwin and wife Roberta of FL, Kenneth Irwin and wife Gloria of FL, Loren Irwin and wife Diana of Farwell; one sister, Nina Wilkerson of Farwell; and twelve grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Ella, and brother-in-law Harold Wilkerson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fraternal Order Eagles-Clare Aire # 3977.
