Melissa Sue Robinson, age 42, of Farwell; passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital. She was born February 20, 1976 in Pontiac, Michigan. Daughter of Gary and June Robinson; she was the youngest of her five siblings Gary Robinson, Frank Chaffin, Cheryl Evans, Glenda Chaffin, and Julie Robinson. Melissa graduated from Farwell High School with the class of 1994. She was a beloved mother, partner, and a friend to many. Since 1999 she worked at Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort, where she had countless friends who enjoyed her light heartedness, and kind spirit. At work (and outside of work), Melissa was often referred to as one of the “Three Musketeers” with her beloved childhood best friends, Mistie Easlick and Brandie Montgomery.
She leaves her life-partner, Chris Baginski; her son, Seth Baginski and her daughter, Siera Baginski; who thought the absolute world of her. They admired her hard work, selflessness, and unconditional love. Melissa lived life unapologetically; with kindness and compassion. Many would say her laugh could light up a dark room. Melissa enjoyed being herself and having fun with family and friends. She also loved supporting her kids in any way possible. Whether that be at their athletic events, or in their academic careers. She simply loved being a mom and she was incredible at it.
A memorial service in Melissa’s honor will be held at the Clare Church of the Nazarene, on March 31, 2018, at 11am. A meal will be provided, and plenty of cherished memories will be shared.
